"This place is in the middle of Velas, close to the main port. Good food, we tried the pizza but the other dishes looked good. It has a comfortable terrace but also tables inside. The pizza was ok (I'm from Napoli and I never dare to comment on pizza around the world because my judgement is obviously biased); you can choose the size of it, small medium or big, respectively for 8 12 or 14 euro. I advise to get a medium-sized pizza to share in two or if you are really hungry share the big one but do not do it alone unless you are starving! Ps. The church bell is quite loud"

"Don't let the outer appearance of this place fool you. It is a very good restaurant with good prices and even better dishes! Some of the options in the menu have been awarded! Sao Jorge is known for its cheese and the octopus and both can be tasted here. The desserts are very good too! The only bad detail is there weren't using the A/C when I went!"

"We first didn‘t go to this place because of the bad reviews. As we went anyway, we totally don‘t understand the bad comments anymore. The Pizza was super nice (the small pizza is already enough for one person and costs 10 Euros), you can even add cheese in the pizza edges which is super fulling ;) the cheese garlic bread is also amazing! The service was very friendly and everything was served fast like nowhere before on our stay on the Azores"

"We’been in this restaurant more than once. Here we ate the best fish of the Azores! The fish soup is fantastic, as the octopus and the tuna. Waiters are very kind and willing, the place is nice. We strongly recommend it. Value for money."

"Excellent food stop! We had a Pizza Jorgense, sautéed vegetables and a bottle house red wine. All of it was amazing. Our server was really friendly and spoke very good English - he explained all the Chef's specials and answered a couple of questions we had. Highly recommended!"

"Incredible meat and fish dishes. The fillet steak was absolutely amazing, soft as butter and cooked to perfection. Starters such as the cheese platter and sides were also very tasty, there was a wide range of desserts and lots of nice wines to choose from. We ended up going back for lunch too."
